A resident of North Carolina, Tina graduated from Erwin High School in Erwin, NC, and Hardbarger Business College in Raleigh, NC, with an accounting degree. She took a position with the North Carolina Department of Corrections in the accounting department, where she worked for a year.

Tina received her NC agent’s license in March 1985. She was offered a position with South Atlantic Underwriters, Inc., managing a general agency in May 1985, and began work in June 1985 as an underwriter trainee. At this time, she began underwriting all lines of commercial truck insurance as a lead underwriter with a focus mainly on owner-operators and small fleets.

She quickly became a senior transportation underwriter representing various companies specializing in marketing and underwriting transportation insurance. She was responsible for underwriting new and renewal business as well as marketing various accounts. She was also responsible for agency and company relationships, premium growth, and account profitability.

In July 2014, South Atlantic Underwriters, Inc was sold to Allstar Transportation Inc, and Tina went to work at this agency as assistant vice president of transportation. She became responsible for new business growth as well as renewal retention, account collections, agency relationships, and company relationship. Tina left this position in July 2015 to pursue other interests.

In September 2015, Tina took a position as a commercial transportation producer with a local agency and began her career as a retail transportation agent. She began working on building a book of profitable business while also being tasked with claims management and marketing renewal. In August 2017, Tina left this agency to advance in the retail transportation market.

In October 2017, Tina began her journey with Good’s Insurance Agency Inc. Good’s has a team-minded atmosphere, and everyone has a very positive attitude. With all the companies available to producers, there are so many opportunities for marketing new accounts. We strive to maintain excellent customer service and give quick quotes. If we don’t have service, we don’t have anything!

Tina loves spending time with her family, most of all, her five grandchildren. She is an avid animal lover with six dogs and three cows. Tina is very active in her church, where she teaches in the girl’s clubs.
